Providence Holy Cross Youth Volunteer Gives Back
At 18 years old Marwan Masri, a volunteer at Providence Holy Cross Medical Center, donated $100,000 with the financial backing of his family and his father’s friends to help expand the hospital’s neonatal intensive care unit from 12 to 18 beds at the age of 18. The Syrian native’s goal is to become a doctor, following in the footsteps of his father, Dr. Gehad Al Masri, who runs a clinic in Dubai. Masri comes from money, but he has a passion to help those in need. He chose to volunteer at Providence Holy Cross because of the mission of outreach to the poor and vulnerable.
